Conrad Pischel R.I.B - Line Logo

FAQ

What does RIB actually stand for?

RIB means „Rigid Inflatable Boat“. These inflatable boats have a rigid hull. Pischel Ribline, however, builds classic foldable inflatables, too.

What do the flags mean which you see on the on the Ribline LOGO?

These flags originate from the international code of signals. The first indicates an R followed by an I, and the red one stands for B, meaning RIB altogether.

Who does Conrad Pischel Ribline actually deliver custom-made inflatables to?

  • We deliver to dozens of recreational skippers spending their well-deserved family holiday on the water. These holidaymakers don’t normally want to deal with technical aspects of their boats.
  • We supply yacht owners who don’t really need a standard yawl because of lacking space or weight problems. (arguments: individual colour scheme suitable for the yacht; special length and beam; carbon fibre or Kevlar hulls instead of polyester to reduce weight)

Apart from the private skippers, who else appreciates the high quality of Conrad Pischel’s ribline inflatable boats?

  • national and international public authorities like customs, the German Federal Police, the DLRG (German Life Saving Association), the coast guard, fire brigades, anti-terror squads, Sea Tow (your breakdown service on the water)
  • hydrographic and geodesic survey institutes, universities, sailing and diving schools
